Entrance scores for the exam. Passing score

Don't be discouraged if your passing score isn't too high. A successfully passed EPGE / OGE will help to enter the budget (or, in general, at least just to enter). And a certain number of points will even help to enter the budget!

Where is it realistic / unrealistic to enter on the budget?

The average USE score of those admitted to the budget will vary greatly depending on which university they enter.

As a rule, the highest USE / OGE passing scores for admission to the budget are in the most prestigious universities in the country: St. Petersburg State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow State University, MGIMO, HSE, etc. To get here, you will have to score at least 90 points.

But applicants with a passing score of 80 may well qualify for a place in almost any other university. True, the minimum USE score for admission to the budget in each case needs to be found out separately, because it can depend not only on the university itself, but also on the specialty you are applying for.

From 60 to 80 - these are the points needed to enter the budget in public educational institutions that are not top-notch, but nevertheless provide a very high level of education to their students.

Another point that is important to pay attention to when raising the question of whether it is difficult to enter the budget is which city you are going to enter. Of course, the larger the city, the greater the competition. And this means that the requirements for the number (sum) of USE scores for admission to the budget will be higher than for less popular cities.

Is it difficult to enter the budget: requirements for different specialties

Choosing a university is not everything. To enter the budget, it is important to take into account not only the passing scores in a particular university, but also in a particular specialty.
By the way! For our readers there is now a 10% discount on any kind of work

And now, so that you can navigate and accurately calculate what chances you have to enter the budget, let's look at the main areas and begin to soberly assess our own strengths so as not to waste time.

The “coolest” specialties: from 75 points

So, here are the specialties and directions, without scoring at least 75 points, you can consider that you didn’t enter (what to do - we’ll say later):

  • Foreign languages;
  • International relationships;
  • Oriental and African studies;
  • Linguistics.

Typically, the average score in these areas can vary between 80-82 points.

A little less (75-80 points) will be needed for other equally popular destinations:

  • Philology,
  • Jurisprudence,
  • Political science,
  • Economy,
  • Literary creativity,
  • art theory,
  • Journalism,
  • Advertising and PR.

Directions of average "coolness": 70-75 points

What to do to enter the budget for specialties related to medicine, philosophy, nuclear physics or public services? You will have to score from 70 to 75 points.

Here is a list of areas that require an average of this number of points:

  • healthcare,
  • Nuclear physics,
  • Municipal and state administration,
  • Information security and business informatics,
  • Publishing,
  • Story,
  • Design,
  • Cultural studies and philosophy.

Standard directions: 65-70 points

If you are often tormented by the thought “I’m afraid not to enter the budget!” - relax! There are always specialties that are easy to enter, and then it is not difficult to study. Another thing is that you can’t build a special career later, but this is already the tenth thing.

So, here are the most massive areas, for admission to which you will have to score 65-70 points:

  • Pedagogy,
  • Management and personnel management,
  • Tourism, service, hospitality (service sector in general),
  • Psychology,
  • Chemistry,
  • Biotechnology,
  • Sociology,
  • religious studies,
  • Librarianship and archives.

Availability of exact sciences: 60-65 points

What are the chances of getting into the budget? Much more if you are a "techie" mindset, not a humanist

Construction, engineering, geology and other exact sciences (natural sciences and physical and mathematical) require a great mind, but, oddly enough, a smaller number of passing marks.

Here you can easily enter the budget in one of the following areas:

  • Biology and Ecology,
  • Physics,
  • Mathematics,
  • Construction,
  • Geodesy, geology, geography,
  • Space technology and aviation,
  • Computing and Informatics,
  • Automation and control,
  • Energy,
  • Oil and gas business,
  • Radio and electrical engineering.

Easier than simple: up to 60 points

If you did not manage to score more than 60 points, do not be discouraged - the fields of technology, transport and agriculture and the following areas are always open to you:

  • railway transport,
  • water transport management,
  • light industry and technology,
  • food industry and technology,
  • Materials Science,
  • engineering,
  • soil science,
  • printing and packaging,
  • agriculture and fisheries.

Why get upset? In these areas, you (unlike many others) will be able to get real practical skills close to production. And despite the fact that such specialties do not shine with prestige, young specialists from such universities are always in demand and will always get a job, unlike newly minted philologists and art historians.

And the most NOT in demand among young people are the following specialties:

  • metallurgy,
  • forestry,
  • marine technology.

To become a state employee of these specialties, 52-55 points will be enough.

In any case, you will first have to find out the number of required passing points, so as not to waste time and enter where you can go, taking into account the points you have scored. This can be done by analyzing the last year's situation. Usually this information doesn't change much over the course of a couple of years, so based on last year's entries, you'll get a pretty good picture of what's in store for you.

You can find out the number of passing points from previous years on the websites of selected educational institutions. Usually everywhere there is an item "Admission Committee", where the average statistical data is published.

However, even a low passing score does not prevent you from striving to score more points. So try to be smart about it. And so that nothing distracts you from your preparation (with a tutor, from lessons, self-study), contact us - you will be freed from the need to complete an urgent test, write an essay or even take an exam at school!

And as a bonus - a short video with tips from an experienced person:

The minimum USE scores 2017 for obtaining a certificate of secondary education and for admission to universities are determined by the Order of Rosobrnadzor dated 11/18/2017

To obtain a certificate of secondary general education, graduates of the current year take compulsory subjects - Russian language and mathematics.

Mathematics can be taken at the basic or profile levels, or both levels at once. To obtain a certificate, it is enough to successfully pass mathematics at one of the selected levels. If you receive a positive grade in basic or specialized mathematics, if you choose both levels, you cannot retake it in the same year.

Minimum USE scores 2017 for obtaining a certificate

Other subjects USE participants take on a voluntary basis:

Social science;
physics;
chemistry;
biology;
story;
literature;
informatics and information and communication technologies (ICT);
geography;
foreign languages: English, German, French and Spanish.

Minimum USE scores 2017 for admission to a university

You can turn in any number of items from the list. In this case, it will be necessary to plan the passing of the exam both ahead of schedule and in the main period.

For those who want to continue their education at a university, the choice of subjects should depend on the list of entrance examinations in the chosen specialty (field of study).

The list of entrance examinations in universities for all specialties (training areas) is determined by the order of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

Each university chooses from this list those or other subjects that are indicated in its admission rules. You need to familiarize yourself with this information on the websites of selected universities before applying for participation in the Unified State Examination with a list of selected subjects.

The difference in the minimum scores for obtaining a certificate and entering a university is only in the Russian language.

Please note that the universities themselves may raise the minimum thresholds. For exact information, see the official websites of universities.

Validity of results - 4 years following the year of receipt of such results.

Unsatisfactory result

If a USE participant (a graduate of the current year) receives a result below the established minimum number of points in one of the compulsory subjects, he has the right to retake it in the additional terms provided for by the unified schedule.

If the USE participant (all categories) does not receive the minimum number of USE points in elective subjects, the USE retake for such USE participants is provided only after a year.

When passing the Unified State Examination (USE), a special place is occupied by the minimum score of the USE. This is the minimum threshold of knowledge in USE scores, upon overcoming which a USE certificate is issued in compulsory subjects. Or in other words, this is the USE score corresponding to a satisfactory mark. In case of receiving a score less than the minimum in subjects of choice, nothing is entered into the certificate. The minimum USE score in all subjects is set annually after passing the USE and before the announcement of the results.

Table of minimum USE scores 2018 in all subjects

Item Minimum USE score

Mathematics (P) 27
Mathematics (B) 27
Social science 42

Story 32
Biology 36
Chemistry 36
English language 22
Computer science 40
Literature 32
Geography 37
German 22
French 22
Spanish 22

However, each university has the right to set the minimum USE score higher than recommended by Rosobrnadzor. The difference can reach 20-40 points and even more. For example, in order to enter the St. Petersburg National Research Academic University in 2018, you will need to score at least 65 points on the Unified State Exam in the Russian language and at least 75 points on the Unified State Examination in mathematics and physics. At the same time, in universities subordinate to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the minimum USE scores in one subject may differ depending on the specialty and location of the university (region): the minimum threshold for universities located in Moscow, the Moscow Region and St. higher.

Scale for transferring USE scores 2018 in all subjects

In order to convert primary scores into test scores, a special table is required developed by Rosobrnadzor (Appendix No. 2 to the order of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science dated April 26, 2017 No. 920-10). It is called "Correspondence between primary scores and test scores in all academic subjects according to a hundred-point grading system."

Meanwhile, in any rule there is an exception, it was found here too. This is the exam in mathematics at the basic level. The results of this exam are given in primary scores and translated into a five-point scoring system.

We translate the USE test scores into a school grade

Officially, the scale for converting scores in USE subjects into a five-point grade has not been used for a long time (namely, since 2008). However, many still want to interpret their result in a more familiar "school" system. To do this, you can use the table below or online calculators.

Item "2" (failed) "3" (satisfactory) "4" (good) "5" (excellent)
Russian language from 72 57-71 36-56 0-35
Mathematics from 68 50-67 27-49 0-26
Social science from 70 58-69 42-57 0-41
Chemistry from 73 56-72 36-55 0-35
Geography from 67 51-66 37-50 0-36
Biology from 72 55-71 36-54 0-35
Foreign languages from 84 59-83 22-58 0-21
Literature from 67 52-66 32-54 0-31
Story from 68 50-67 32-49 0-31
Physics from 68 53-67 36-52 0-35
Computer science from 73 57-72 40-56 0-39

Is it possible to retake the exam in compulsory subjects in 2018

Yes, 2018 graduates can retake the USE in a compulsory subject. Examinations in Russian language and mathematics are obligatory. But the procedure for conducting the state final certification in Russia does not allow retaking the exam to improve the result for everyone who wishes it.

The order is strict, and it looks like this:

  • you can retake the exam in only one of the two compulsory subjects,
  • The exam can be retaken only if the grade is unsatisfactory.

Thus, if a graduate failed both mandatory exams: both Russian and mathematics, retake on reserve dates at the end of June will not be possible for him. If unsatisfactory grades are obtained in both compulsory subjects, the student will be able to go for a retake only in September, when the autumn wave of retaking the mandatory USE takes place.

Since May 27, schoolchildren and graduates of past years in Russia have actively begun to pass the exam. The Unified State Exam is a prerequisite for obtaining a school leaving certificate and further admission to a university.

At the same time, the number of points scored in the USE for both purposes is different. So, in order to finish school and become a "free" person, it is enough just to pass two subjects - Russian and mathematics. For the first one, you need to score at least 24 points, and for the second, at least 23. For admission to a university, such a number of passed exams will not be enough.

So, all universities of the country prepared in advance for the entrance campaign and announced which exams students should take for admission. Additional future students usually choose two or four USE, which correspond to the profile chosen at the university. At the same time, the passed exam is not a guarantee of admission - you must undoubtedly pass it successfully so as not to be out of the competition.

It is very difficult to name the exact number of points in the USE that you need to score for admission to a university. Your chances depend on the popularity of the university and faculty, on the number of applicants and their grades, on the total number of points scored for the USE in all subjects, and the like.

At the same time, Roobrnadzor established the limits of how much the minimum exam must be passed in order for a person to qualify for a place in any university in the country:

  • for the Russian language - at least 34 points;
  • for basic mathematics - at least 27 points;
  • for specialized mathematics - at least 27 points;
  • for social studies - at least 42 points;
  • for physics - at least 36 points;
  • for literature - at least 32 points;
  • for history - at least 29 points;
  • for chemistry - at least 36 points;
  • for the all-Russian exam in English (French, German, Spanish) - at least 22 points;
  • for biology - at least 36 points;
  • for computer science - at least 40 points;
  • for geography - at least 40 points.

Having passed the exams for such grades, you can be sure that the documents for admission will definitely be accepted from you. But whether you will enter is a big question, because competition can sometimes be very high and places in universities are given first of all to the most promising young people. If you decide to enroll in a budget form of education, and even want to receive a scholarship, the matter here is not at all simple. Budget places are given only to those who passed the exam as well as possible.

It is simply impossible to name the exact number of points that would provide you with admission on a budgetary basis - each university sets its own limits depending on the number of applicants to enter this year.

In the most seedy provincial institute, the minimum number of points for studying on a state basis may be enough, but in a prestigious university, you will have to show additional merits for the Unified State Examination - participation in the Olympics, competitions, social activity and the like.

If we talk about grades for the Unified State Examination, then they will pay attention first of all, of course, to the core subjects passed. Compulsory ones are also taken into account, but sometimes they may not affect the introductory characteristics of a particular applicant. As for the profile subject established by the university, a low score on it can cause the commission to completely refuse to accept your documents, even if you show excellent results in other subjects.

  • Biology. When entering specialties that require a certificate in biology, the average passing score is 45-78, and for universities with high competition you will need 79-100 points;
  • Russian language. The threshold score that allows you to qualify for the budget in most universities is 45-72, and for the most prestigious universities - from 73 and above;
  • Mathematics. The minimum that will allow you to study on a budget is 45-63 points. For highly competitive universities, the certificate scores should be equal to 64-100;
  • Foreign languages. A certificate with 55-80 points makes it possible to become a state employee of a regional university or institute. In the capital's universities, it is required to pass the subject for 81-100 points;
  • Social science. For most universities in Russia, 45-72 points will be quite enough, however, for top educational institutions, your score should be equal to 73-100;
  • Chemistry. When entering specialties requiring a certificate in chemistry, the average passing score should be 45-80, and for universities with high competition, the total score should be above 81;
  • Story. The threshold score that allows you to qualify for the budget is 45-72 in most universities, and 73-100 for the most prestigious universities;
  • Physics. A certificate with 45-65 points will become a guarantee of admission to a university for a budget place, the Ros-Registr website writes. But if you have planned for yourself a prestigious metropolitan university, you will have to earn 66 points or more on the exam.

Thus, we can summarize that in our time only the most diligent and talented graduates who are ready for further difficulties in learning and showing themselves in their chosen profession can theoretically get into the budget. It is also not easy to enter the contract, but the minimum score will be enough for you to go to study at your own expense.

The 2018 university admissions campaign has ended. Here is a summary of the passing scores in the most popular Moscow universities in the areas (faculties)

Passing scores 2018

In 2018, applicants could apply to five universities for three directions in each.

There were no additional exams in universities, with the exception of Moscow State University, MGIMO, as well as in the creative areas of some universities. Universities enrolled the winners and prize-winners of Olympiads out of competition or automatically gave them 100 points in a specialized subject.

Features of enrollment in budget places:

In all universities, 10 percent of budget places are given to beneficiaries - the disabled and orphans.

Target admission - for them, the real competition of certificates (passing score) is much lower (what is target admission, and about the paradoxes of the admission campaign for targeted admission)

In order to take advantage of the benefit, Olympians must score at least 75 points in the profile USE. The All-Russian Olympiad is taken into account by absolutely all universities, but there are no Olympiads from the list approved by the ministry.

The largest number of free places on the budget this year were received by:

Least of all budget places this year are allocated to the following specialties:

  • "Weapons and weapon systems",
  • "Art History", "Theology",
  • "The Stage Arts and Literary Creativity".

According to the official results of certificate competitions and on the basis of the protocols on enrollment of applicants, a list of Moscow universities with passing scores was compiled.

Economy

Economy- a set of social sciences that study the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. Economic reality is the object of economic sciences, which are divided into theoretical and applied. The theoretical direction is also called economic theory - it considers the features of the process of exchange, distribution, choice of how to use limited resources. Applied economics studies the possibilities of applying laws, theories, proposals developed by economic theory directly for the functioning of individual elements of economic systems.
