There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Every season is beautiful in its own way.
When spring comes nature awakens from its long winter sleep. The days become longer and the nights become shorter. The ground is covered with emeraldgreen grass and spring flowers. The air is fresh, the sky is blue and cloudless, and the sun shines brightly. The trees are in full blossom. The nightingale begins to sing its lovely songs, and sweet melodies may be heard from every wood and park. The days are warm and everything is full of life and joy.
Spring is followed by summer. The weather is usually fine in summer, but it can be very hot, especially in July. Sometimes there are storms with thunder and lightning. In summer people try to get away from the city noise and spend more time in the open air. They pick mushrooms and berries in the forest, swim in the rivers and lakes, go fishing and boating. Most people prefer to have their holidays in summer.
Autumn begins in September. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The leaves turn yellow, red and brown and fall to the ground. Most birds fly away to warm countries. There"s a short spell of dry sunny weather in September which is called Indian Summer. It"s a beautiful time when the sky is cloudless, the trees around are golden, the air is transparent and it"s still warm. But gradually it gets colder and colder. It often rains in October and November which makes autumn an unpleasant season.
In winter the sun sets early and rises late. The rivers and lakes are frozen over. Everything is covered with snow. Sometimes it"s very cold, about 25-30 degrees below zero. Going out in such weather isn"t very pleasant. Winter is a good time for sports. People go in for skating and skiing. Tobogganing is also popular, not as a kind of sports, but rather as fun.
As for me, I like all seasons, but I think there"s nothing like late spring.

Есть четыре времени года: весна, лето, осень и зима. Каждое время года красиво по-своему.
Когда приходит весна, природа пробуждается от долгого зимнего сна. Дни становятся длиннее, а ночи становятся короче. Земля покрыта изумрудной травой и весенними цветами. Воздух свежий, небо синее и безоблачное, солнце ярко светит. Деревья в цвету. Соловей начинает петь свои прекрасные песни, и сладкие мелодии можно услышать в каждом лесу и парке. Дни теплые и все полно жизни и радости.
За весной следует лето. Погода, как правило, хорошая летом, но может быть очень жарко, особенно в июле. Иногда бывают грозы с громом и молнией. Летом люди пытаются уехать от городского шума и проводить больше времени на открытом воздухе. Они собирают грибы и ягоды в лесу, купаются в реках и озерах, рыбачат и катаются на лодках. Большинство людей предпочитает отдыхать в летнее время.
Осень начинается в сентябре. Дни становятся короче, а ночи длиннее. Листья становятся желтыми, красными и коричневыми и падают на землю. Большинство птиц улетает в теплые страны. В сентябре есть короткий период сухой солнечной погоды, который называется "бабье лето". Это прекрасное время, когда небо безоблачное, деревья вокруг золотые, воздух прозрачен и по-прежнему тепло. Но постепенно становится все холоднее и холоднее. Часто идет дождь в октябре и ноябре, что делает осень неприятным временем года.

My favourite season
It’s a well-known fact that there are 4 seasons of the year: winter, spring, summer and autumn. Each of them has its advantages.
As for me, I like all seasons of the year. In winter I’m fond of skating and skiing. I enjoy playing snowballs with my friends. But for sure, sometimes it’s really cold in winter and I can’t go for a walk. For that reason I need to spend much time at home watching TV and playing computer games. And I like to spend time outdoors.
Spring and autumn are also marvellous. In spring everything is green. There is an atmosphere of love and tenderness. In autumn I like to spend time in different parks. All the leaves are red, yellow, and sometimes purple. You can make excellent photos.
But it’s not a secret that my favourite season is summer. You can ask me a simple question: “Why?” I can name you a million reasons for that. First of all, I keen on hot weather; I don’t like rains and winds. In summer the weather is really great. Also you can have a rest from your school classes. I like to study, but every pupil is tired at the end of the academic year. In summer I enjoy spending time by the sea. I also like to bask in the sun. I’ve got a cool bicycle, so I usually ride it. My grandparents live in a village, and in summer I like to spend some weeks there, swimming in the river, fishing, picking mushrooms and berries.
My favourite season is summer, but I can find beauties in each season of the year.

Всем известно, что существует 4 поры года: зима, весна, лето, осень. И каждая из них имеет свои преимущества.
Что касается меня, я люблю все поры года. Зимой я увлекаюсь катанием на коньках и лыжах. Я люблю играть в снежки с друзьями. Но, конечно, иногда зимой очень холодно, и я не могу пойти на прогулку. По этой причине мне приходится проводить много времени дома: смотрю телевизор и играю в компьютерные игры. Но я люблю проводить время на свежем воздухе.
Весна и осень также прекрасны. Весной везде всё зелёное. Весной царит атмосфера любви и нежности. Осенью я люблю проводить время в разных парках. Все листики красные, жёлтые, а иногда и фиолетовые. Вы можете сделать замечательные фотографии осенью.
Но не секрет, что моя любимая пора года – лето. Вы можете задать мне простой вопрос: «Почему же?» Я могу назвать миллион причин этого. Прежде всего, я помешан(а) на очень тёплой погоде, я не люблю дожди и ветра. Летом погода действительно великолепная. Также летом можно отдохнуть от школьных уроков. Я люблю учиться, но каждый ученик устаёт к концу учебного года. Летом я люблю проводить время на курорте. Также я люблю загорать на солнце. У меня есть крутой велосипед, поэтому я часто езжу на нём летом. Мои бабашка и дедушка живут в деревне, и летом я люблю провести несколько недель у них. Там я люблю плавать в речке, ловить рыбу, собирать грибы и ягоды.
Моя любимая пора года – лето, но я могу найти прекрасное в каждой поре года.

Зима
Мне нравится зима из-за великолепного снега. Больше всего я люблю сидеть дома перед камином и смотреть на снег, но играть в снегу на улице также замечательно. Невозможно быть слишком старым для зимних забав. Кроме того, зимой просто красиво, а в воздухе чувствуется трескучий мороз, когда температура опускается ниже определенной отметки. Когда я вижу зимнее снежное небо, я не могу сдержать восторга. И я люблю новогодние праздники, поэтому зима – одно из моих любимых времен года.
Весна
Весной тоже красиво. После холодной зимы так приятно видеть распускающиеся листья, расцветающие цветы, чувствовать легкий свежий ветерок на своем лице и наблюдать за возвращением красивых разноцветных птиц.
Лето
Я не очень люблю лето из-за жары, от которой не спрячешься.
Осень
Но я думаю, мое самое любимое время года – осень. Осенью погода еще в большинстве своем теплая и солнечная, а листья на деревьях меняют свой цвет с зеленого на золотой, рыжий, красный и коричневый. В зависимости от того, в какой стране вы живете, осень приносит с собой прохладу и прощается с изнуряющими жаркими летними днями, когда трудно укрыться от палящего солнца. Осень позволяет нам проводить больше времени вместе, ходить на долгие прогулки и наслаждаться компанией друг друга и окружающими пейзажами в теплый погожий день. Мне также нравится, когда воздух становится прохладным после летней жары и в нем чувствуется приближение зимы. Осенние цветы распускаются и повсюду в полях можно видеть подсолнухи. Я думаю, осень лучшее время года. Если бы меня попросили распределить времена года от любимого до нелюбимого, я бы сделала это так: осень, зима, весна, лето.

Season of the year to me
It’s difficult to say which season of the year is my favourite since each of them has its own charm and beauty.
Winter
I like winter because snow is amazing — especially being indoors with a fireplace watching it, but going outside and playing in the snow is still great. You’re never too old for it. Plus, it’s just beautiful and there’s a particular bite in the air when the temperature gets down below a certain point. I still get excited whenever I see a snowy-weather sky. I really love the New Year, so winter is among my favourites.
Spring
Spring is also beautiful. After the harsh winters it’s such a blessing to see the leaves coming back on the trees, the flowers starting to bloom again to smell the refreshing breezes of spring, the beautiful, colorful birds coming back and to feel the warm breezes of spring on my face.
Summer
I don’t very much like summer though because of the heat you can’t escape from.
Fall or autumn
But I think my favorite season of the year has got to be fall. In the fall, we typically still have nice warm and sunny weather, but the leaves and landscapes are changing from a more green color to shades of gold, orange, red and brown. Also, depending on what country you live in, fall brings lower temperatures and does away with the very hot days that are often spent sitting outside sunbathing or inside to avoid the heat wave. Fall allows people to bond by going for comfortable walks and enjoying each other’s company in the comfort of the still warm weather and the beautiful landscapes.It is so wonderful when the air turns more crisp and cool after the heat of summer. The fall wild flowers bloom and there are fields of sunflowers everywhere. It’s just about the best season all around. From most favorite to least favorite it runs like this for me: fall, spring, winter, summer.
Seasons of a year
Each of four seasons has its own charm and beauty. Spring revives nature, summer breathes with numerous scents and autumn brings grace and nostalgia. Severe winter hardens us in its specific manner. Common weather of seasons determines their mood. Thoughtful watching of changing of showers, snows, bright and dull days makes fill gratitude to the nature.

Springs awakening
At spring nature wakes from long winter sleep. Weather becomes warmer from day to day, plants are blooming and all living creatures show their voices. Appearing of snowdrops claims complete authority of spring. Warm sun and short rains closer summer days and first May thunderstorm claims begging of completely warm days.

Summers growth
Summer turns everything around in a bright green. Meadows are cowered with green, upper branches of trees are even greener. Millions of scents are floating in the air and everything lives and breathes. But summer night is most special time when one can admire starry skies.
Heat of middle summer diluted with short but intense showers bring beautiful rainbows. But blessed summer days eventually come to their end signed by first yellow leaves.

Autumn is filled with graceful falling of leaves, frequent rains and heavy clouds. It seems to be dull and sad yet nature becomes delightfully beautiful in autumn. Numerous shades of orange, red and brown in whirling and rustling leaves are indescribable. And when all leaves had fall to the ground naked trees are marking coming of winter.

Winters majesty
Winter is the white queen which covers everything with cold, soft and fluffy blanket of snow. Nature sleeps restoring strength before new coil of year cycle. Days are dark and short and nights are long and cold. Yet sleeping nature is beautiful in its own way. Moon sparkles on snow, all sounds are muted and majesty of winter remains until first warming.

Summer is my favourite season. I like it because there are holidays in summer.
Nature is beautiful and colourful. Birds are singing in the forest.
In summer we have a rest at the Black sea. We build castles on the sand .
