They need someone to simply and clearly explain what to do next and how they will be helped,” says Sergei Levchenko. The governor explained that home inspections and damage assessments are slow because a lot of paperwork needs to be completed. “Not every official can do this, but only specialists.” We have two commissions: one - interdepartmental - makes decisions on damage. The second – specialized – evaluates real estate. Not damage, but houses. These are 389 specialists from all over the region who are working on schedule and will complete all examinations by August 10. You can’t just take a person off the street or an official,” the governor said. Obviously, Sergei Levchenko noted, based on the results of his work he will make certain personnel decisions, but he refused to announce them now so as not to dampen the team spirit. There is an ambivalent feeling - I want everything to be done already, but on the other hand, there are human and technical capabilities that are limited. Our employees work seven days a week, or even around the clock. This is beyond human capabilities. I cannot tell these people that their work is unsatisfactory. “I cannot give such an assessment,” the governor added. St. Petersburg entrepreneur Farid Gazizov has found a new investor for his Real Time Group. She developed a technology for recognizing and analyzing information on a cash receipt. The international company Embria decided to invest in this business: it gives 37 million rubles in exchange for a share in the company (the parties do not disclose its size). The Union of Organizations of Business Angels (SOBA) provided consulting support to the management of Real Time Group.

Previously, DP wrote that in the summer of 2017, the investment fund of Konstantin Sinyushin and Igor Lutz, The Untitled ventures company, invested 14 million rubles in the startup.

Chance meeting

The funds received from Embria will be used to develop a new version of the product, improve the application, which allows the retailer to return part of the amount spent to the client, as well as for marketing research of consumer activity.

“We met the Embria representative by chance, through friends,” says Farid Gazizov. “Our meeting took place at the end of 2016, we talked for 8 months, looked closely at each other, and finally shook hands in 2017.”

Real Time Group is not the first startup of Farid Gazizov. Before him, the entrepreneur created the coupon business MyFant.ru (it was sold and is now owned by KupiKupon) and the trading company Nich Capital. Its turnover was $2 million a year. She worked at the New York Stock Exchange until the end of 2017. The company is now closed.

Money from these businesses allowed the young man to put Real Time Group on its feet. The total volume of the businessman’s own investments in the project amounted to $0.5 million.

Careful selection

The startup concept changed several times. It was conceived as a loyalty program for retailers. Now this is a universal technology for recognizing receipts, identifying barcodes and the buyer himself.

Real Time Group, based on its technology, has made, for example, the following products: a tool for carrying out promotions for a retailer, research software and a loyalty program for a product manufacturer, a tool for auditing and merchandising, a price analyzer and an application for interaction between a retailer and a buyer.

According to the business plan, the project should reach payback in the summer of 2018, says Farid Gazizov. From this moment on, the profit that the company will receive will allow it to develop without attracting funds from outside. This same year, the startup plans to expand beyond the Russian market.

“Embria is a strong partner with extensive experience in the international IT market,” says Farid. “Having worked with other funds, I can say that I am now receiving the most relevant assistance from an investor partner deeply immersed in my project.”

In 2015, the project was quite successfully presented on the Startup Exchange "DP". Andrey Lushnikov, chairman of the board of directors, who got acquainted with it, noted the originality of the business idea and the benefits that the project could bring to the market.

“At the Exchange, Sergei Fradkov (managing partner - Ed.) became interested in the project, but the project itself, which required much more investment, refused the deal,” recalls Luiza Aleksandrova, a member of the Startup Exchange jury, chairman of SOBA. “Farid carefully selects partners, he has a lot of experience in this. The project is large-scale, complex, but if it takes off, it has every chance to conquer the global market. The niche was chosen correctly."
